1. DESIGN OF MEP SYSTEM IN METRO RAILWAYS - A REVIEW

Authors -  Dr. Jen Jacob

Abstract :  This paper illustrates the challenges for any major giant infrastructure subterranean railway project, to pick out and undertake a value effective, manageable and optimum MEP style strategy across an outsized programme of labor. The paper proposes ways to beat such challenges that extend into procurable of MEP instrumentality. The paper is meant to spotlight the need at hand over MEP design and assets that enable the Railway Operator (RO) to undertake maintenance safely and in an exceedingly price effective manner. Commonality of MEP design style in railway projects and customary element choice square measure mentioned against a non-standardized kind approach. Prototyping MEP design could be a novel approach and is wherever with multiple locations a example style strategy may be used. The design of MEP system in railways may be undertaken for one location i.e. a Station, Shaft or Portal, and so the model is employed across the programme. The paper details novel technique that is targeted at MEP systems wherever there square measure that has several similar a Station, Shaft or Portal (SSP). As this can be novel it's careful as another to a standard approach i.e. the multiple SSP locations designed at constant time. Delivery and management techniques to permit optimum performance in MEP service route and area designing and access and maintenance that can be essential to success of projects. Throughout early stages of style designers’ square measure less targeted on these necessities. The paper can detail the aspects to force optimum area designing, service routes to be consummated at the acceptable time within the MEP style development stages with nominative intervention points.

Authors -  P. K. Paul, A. Bhuimali P. S. Aithal R. Rajesh

Abstract :  Cyber Security is an important and major concern in today’s age. The term Cyber is gaining popularity in a different spectrum. Initially, the concept of Cryptography was there and thereafter other concepts have been emerged viz. Computer Security; which is mainly concern about the security of the computer and computing. It is about the security of Computer and gradually other areas have been emerged and became popular such as Network Security which is talks about the designing, development and managing secure network systems. The growing popularity of the websites and a large number of users have resulted in another important area in the field called Web Security. Gradually the large amount of data and its management leads the concept of Database and the rising challenge in respect of Database is called Data Security. Naturally, the rising concepts of Data Security, Web Security, and Network Security gave birth to the concept of Information Technology Security (IT Security). Though, later on, few other broader concepts have emerged such as Information Security, Information Assurance. However, important to note that few other issues are also emerging and very much popular viz. Data Privacy and Information Privacy. This paper is offered a detailed overview of the security and privacy related topics in a brief manner. The main aim and agenda of the paper is to aware non IT (even IT candidates) community about the securities related to the Computing and Information

3. DESIGN OF A HIGH-PERFORMANCE FIR FILTER FOR AREA DELAY EFFECTIVE REALIZATION OF BOTH RECONFIGURABLE AND FIXED APPLICATIONS

Authors -  M. Kavitha, Dr. Anjali Bhardwaj

Abstract :  In this paper, it is possible to design block FIR (finite-impulse response) filter in transpose form for area-delay efficient realization of large order FIR filters. Generally, FIR filters are inherently pipelined and support multiple constant multiplications (MCM) technique which results in considerable computation saving. But, transpose form configuration does not directly support the block processing unlike direct form configuration. A flow graph for transpose form block FIR filter has derived with optimized register complexity based on an elaborated computational analysis of transpose form configuration of FIR filter. For reconfigurable applications, a general multiplier-based architecture has derived for the proposed transpose form block filter. The proposed design involves considerably less energy per sample (EPS) and less area delay product (ADP) than the existing block implementation of direct-form structure for medium or large filter lengths, while for the short-length filters, the block implementation of direct-form FIR structure has less EPS and less ADP than the proposed design.
Keywords : FIR (Finite Impulse Response) filter, multiple constant multiplications (MCM), energy per sample (EPS), area delay product (ADP).

Authors -  P. K. Paul,  P. S. Aithal, A. Bhuimali

Abstract :  Business Informatics is about the applications and integration of Information Science and Technology into Business and Management tools and techniques into the Business Systems. It is also about combining the concept of Business and Technologies. The field is also called as Business Information Science and in some countries as Business Information Systems. The areas in current age are not only the tools and techniques but also a subject. Initially, the subject treated as a concept and research areas and now this becomes a full-fledged subject in various context. The area of Business Informatics is also increasing in recent past from technologies and tools to conceptual management areas viz. IT Governance, IT Policy, IT Management, Information Administration, and Information Management. In recent past, the concept of technologies have been increased and several areas are included which are majorly part of components of Information Technologies viz. Database Technology, Networking Technology, Communication Technology etc. Among the latest areas Data Sciences play a lead role with the components of Big Data Technologies powered by Data warehousing, Data Mining etc. This paper may be treated as a valuable source for the newcomers in the field of IT and Computing having less conceptual knowledge in the area of Business Informatics and new to the concepts of Big Data. The paper may be a good alternative to know about the basics, characteristics, nature of Big Data with fundamentals of applications.

6. IMPLEMENTATION OF AUTOMATIC PILL DISPENSER WITH BIOMETRIC AUTHENTICATION USING RASPBERRY PI

Authors -  B.Gayathri, G.Harish

Abstract :  Health care industry is increasing rapidly. But the patients may face problems such as consuming the wrong medicine or over dosage. In order to reduce these problems a system can be developed. As technology is developing expeditiously and there are many new systems introduced for making our day-to- day activities. It is necessary to provide medication to the patients in time. Automatic pill dispenser is designed specifically for users who take medications without close professional supervision. The system contains raspberry pi interfaced with biometric module along with a camera for face recognition in order to detect the patient. Firstly the system scans the finger print using biometric module and later if finger print is not detected then it captures the image of the person. These are used to verify the person’s presence. Selecting age group and medicines can be done by using keypad. If the person visits the system once in a day, it dispenses the medicine using motors. If the person visits more than 4 times a day, the system cannot dispense the medicine and it displays to consult the doctor.

9. INTERNATIONAL TREATIES ON UTILITY PATENTS AND IMMINENT NEED FOR LAWS ON UTILITY PATENT IN INDIA

Authors -  Joseph Aristotle. S & S. Shanthakumar

Abstract :  Every day so many new inventions or innovative products are being created in India, but some of these products may not satisfy the minimum requirements needed for attaining a patent. But these innovations are novel, utilitarian and creative in their own sectors. Such “utility models” or “petty patents” or “innovative patents” are known as Utility Patents and the same are forms of Intellectual properties that deserve to be protected. Such novel and incremental inventions/innovations which enhance industrial applicability/productivity are protected in many countries across the world. However, in India, we still don’t have any laws to protect such an Intellectual property.

8. A STUDY ON THE UNPRECENDENTED CONSTITUIONAL CRISIS IN THE JUDICIAL APPOINTMENTS OF INDIA

Authors -  Ram Sankar

Abstract :  The After math of scrapping the NJAC Act, a constitution bench of the Supreme Court embarked on a mission to improve the collegiums system which virtually put the ball back into the government’s court by giving the Centre the liberty to finalize a draft memorandum of procedure for appointing judges to the Supreme Court and High Courts in consultation with the Chief Justice of India. It was a letdown as the bench which was expected to draw a roadmap on four crucial parameters it itself had set on how to improve transparency in judges selection process, What changes to be made to the eligibility criteria for persons to be considered for appointment as a judge. On formation of an office of the collegiums in the Supreme Court called as the secretariat and on how to deal with any complaints against persons in the zone of consideration providing only broad suggestions to the government to be included in the Memorandum to ensure transparency. The study elucidates the unprecedented constitutional crisis in the judicial appointments of India and the conclusions on rising voices collectively on constitutional failure and anticipates for a day of judgement.
